author M.T. DeSantis, young woman with dark hair wearing purple and backdropped by a circus at night

Born a New Englander, M.T. DeSantis moved south in early adulthood, realized she actually liked winter, and promptly moved back north. She’s currently trying out life as a Michigander/anian with her family, who also (mostly) actually like winter. When not making word magic, M.T. can be found practicing yoga, attempting to make friends with the oven, or trying to read while people keep talking to her.

M.T. is terrible at “branding” or “picking a genre,” so she pretty much writes whatever story strikes her fancy. As a result, she has everything from lush, lyrical fairy tales to superheroes riding dragons to light romances about table-top gamers. Regardless of the story, she’s just very excited to finally call herself an author, a dream she’s had since she was five and writing stories with lines like “and then she sang a song about dragons.” She hopes you’ll have as much fun exploring her worlds as she does writing about them.

M.T. is about 10 years behind on social media, mostly because she finds figuring out new platforms makes her want to poke herself in the nose with a sharp stick, but you can find her on Facebook and Goodreads. And if she ever expands to some modern places, she’ll let you know in her newsletter, which you can click below to subscribe to. Bonus—you’ll also get other cool writing updates, behind the scenes content, and a free novella from the world of Grimmfay, the fairy-tale circus she’s at in her picture above.
