Born a New Englander, M.T. DeSantis moved south in early adulthood, realized she actually liked winter, and promptly moved back north. She’s currently trying out life as a Michigander/anian with her family, who also (mostly) actually like winter. When not making word magic, M.T. can be found practicing yoga, attempting to make friends with the oven, or trying to read while people keep talking to her.
Grimmfay is the first thing she’s published in a long time, and she’s very excited to finally be a “fantasy author,” a dream she’s had since she was five and writing stories with lines like “and then she sang a song about dragons.” Grimmfay doesn’t have dragons (or singing), but it does have a darkish circus, a mashup of fairy-tale stories, and characters she’s come to love with all her heart. She hopes you’ll have as much fun exploring the circus as she does writing about it.
M.T. is about 10 years behind on social media, mostly because she finds figuring out new platforms makes her want to poke herself in the nose with a sharp stick, but you can find her on Facebook, Twitter, and Goodreads. And if she ever expands to some modern places, she’ll let you know in her newsletter, which you can click below to subscribe to. Bonus—you’ll also get other cool writing updates, behind the scenes content, and a free novella: Twining, the story of how Grimmfay’s mistresses met.
