In Other News…

In response to the minor car accident of a few weeks ago, the boyfriend and I spent way too much time in dealerships this week (and by way too much time, I mean a total of approximately 5 hours). It’s his truck, and he’s looking for something very specific. Since the specifics include a lot of safety features, I’m all for him being specific about this. There may be progress soon.

In other (delicious) news, I made a French Toast bake, and it was fantastic. I’m particularly proud of this one because I managed to make French Toast healthy but still tasty. Instead of butter, I used coconut oil, and stevia took the place of sugar. Add banana, apple, and blueberries, and breakfast for dinner is still one of my favorite things.

I had my monthly virtual book club, where my friends and I discussed A Curious Beginning by Deanna Raybourn, the first in the Veronica Speedwell mysteries. That one took me a bit to get into. There was a lot of banter in the early pages—a bit too much. But once that calmed down, I found myself thoroughly interested. I will likely continue the series at some point.

Otherwise in books:

I read Cooking for Ghosts by Patricia V. Davis (review coming). It’s one of those books that has a little bit of everything—romance, paranormal activity, a fascinating mystery, and extremely realistic characters. More in my review, but I quite enjoyed it.

In Movies:

This was very cute, if violent at times. There was a healthy level of disbelief suspension required, but it was kind of too cute for me to care all that much. Recommend.

Otherwise, still watching Murder, She Wrote and Monk. What did you read/watch/do this week?
