She reaches out to her long-time psychic friend Jared Duval. When Jared makes contact with the knife, he has a vision of a horrific car accident that leaves a woman lifeless at the side of the road.

Jessica and Jared now have to do whatever it takes to uncover the truth and put an end to the mayhem clouding their lives. But what they don’t know is that the spirit has joined forces with the malevolent demon, Malik, seeking vengeance on the people who left her for dead – and these people are closer to Jessica than she thinks.

Will they be able to defeat a vicious demon and a vengeful spirit before things take a turn for the worst?

What other darkness lurks in the shadows?

Review of Dark Secrets

This was an interesting take on demons, hauntings, possession—you name it from that arena, it was here. I’ll say right up-front that if you don’t do creepy events or violence, this may not be the book for you. But if you’re okay with the occasional gross image, you’ll do just fine.

I appreciated the past between the characters. The relationships felt genuine, and that made the choices feel realistic. This hit a point where the story seemed to be spinning its wheels a bit while the characters argued over the same few options of what to do next, but once they got past that, the ending brought everything together in a way I didn’t expect but probably should have.

All in all, I recommend this to fans of horror and the dark side of paranormal. If that’s your thing, this is for you.

I received this book free from the author. My thoughts are my own.
